Marcus D. Rau, Jr.

Marcus is a lifelong resident of Nassau County, and attended Jacksonville University on a full Presidential Scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from JU’s Davis College of Business, graduating Cum Laude. Marcus started his professional career as a high school Algebra and Calculus teacher.

Marcus joined The Hurst Company in 2006 as a Staff Accountant, and has been involved in all tax, audit and financial processes of the firm during his tenure. Marcus is currently seeking certification through the CPA Exam.

Marcus is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is involved in many local community organizations. He is an active member of the Journey Church of Fernandina Beach, where he is the Choir Director/Worship Leader.
